A spider bite?

In 2006, a member of Tucson Fire noticed a small red bump on his skin that looked like a spider-bite.  It rapidly spread until it his entire arm was engulfed in a raging infection that might have taken his life if he hadn't been hospitalized and treated with intravenous antibiotics.
